These little cuties’ session was well anticipated. We started planning it when they were only 1.5 months old. This is when their (I have to add super sweet and cooperative) mom contacted me. At that age they were late for a newborn session and early for a successful baby session. I explained that we can create beautiful photos at any age. But newborn posing will not be possible after about 3 weeks of age and getting smiles out of babies younger then 2-3 months can be difficult. Also in terms of posing, before babies can sit well, the poses are limited. Of course, these are more guidelines then rules, all babies are different and we can’t know  what exactly we will get out of a session, especially when we’re in between the two stages.  So after a lot of discussion, we decided to wait until both girls are old enough to sit on their own. This way we can get more variety out of a session. It was a long wait. But we got to our session date and it was a blast! I had so much fun with these adorable little cuties!

This was a bit of a last minute decision to get her belly shots, I guess. At 38 weeks pregnant, this was probably the most advanced pregnancy shoot I’ve ever done! But look at this gorgeous mama and her perfect little belly, she was completely comfortable, radiant and excited about getting these photos done. I’m so glad we did this! Not to mention what a thrill it was to see her big girl again! I’ve had the pleasure to photograph her as newborn, 6 months and a one year old, and now we’re starting all over again with her new baby sister… who’s already been born and photographed btw 🙂 Stay tuned for her photos!
